The International Linguistic Society is delighted to introduce the 17th International Conference on Linguistic Research and Applications – Linguistics 2026, set to take place in Paris, France, from 28–30 October 2026.

Following our spring gathering in Athens, this autumn edition promises another exciting opportunity for researchers, academics, and professionals to engage in rich discussions, share cutting-edge research, and explore the future of linguistics β€” this time in the heart of Paris.

Why Paris?

Because who doesn’t want to debate phonological theory within walking distance of a boulangerie?

This hybrid event will offer the best of both worlds β€” vibrant in-person sessions for those travelling to Paris, and a robust virtual experience for those joining from afar.

Conference Highlights

– Keynote lectures by renowned experts in core and applied linguistics (speaker list TBA)
– Sessions across a wide range of topics including phonetics, syntax, semantics, sociolinguistics, neurolinguistics, computational linguistics, and beyond
– A space to present innovative research, explore cross-disciplinary connections, and build collaborative networks
– Publication opportunity in the Linguistic Proceedings Series

Whether your work is theory-heavy or application-driven, Linguistics 2026 Paris will offer a platform to share, question, connect β€” and maybe sneak in a museum visit while you’re at it.
