We are pleased to announce Prof. Irene Vogel as a featured speaker for the 16th International Conference on Linguistic Research and Applications (Linguistics 2025 Athens).
About Prof. Irene Vogel
Irene Vogel is a distinguished linguist whose research has significantly shaped the fields of phonology, prosody, and morphosyntax. She is widely known for her pioneering work on Prosodic Phonology, particularly in collaboration with Marina Nespor, where they developed the Prosodic Hierarchy model—a framework that has had a lasting impact on phonological theory.
Prof. Vogel has made substantial contributions to our understanding of word-level and phrase-level prosody, intonation patterns, and the interface between phonology and morphology. Her work extends across multiple languages, offering valuable insights into linguistic typology and theoretical phonology.
