Keynote Lecture

The Contribution of Primary Progressive Aphasia to Language Neurobiology

In this keynote lecture, Professor Cappa will explore how research on Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) provides valuable insights into the neurobiological organisation of language. The progressive and selective disruption of language networks observed in PPA offers a unique model for understanding the neural mechanisms underlying semantic knowledge, speech production, and syntactic processing. Research in this area continues to deepen our understanding of the relationship between language and other cognitive systems.

Further information about the speaker and the keynote lecture is available on the speaker page.

Language Disorders 2026 Online will bring together researchers and scholars working on the study of language disorders across linguistic, cognitive, and applied perspectives. The conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and recent developments in research and applications related to language disorders.

Further information about the conference and abstract submission can be found on the conference page.
