We’re thrilled to announce that Professor Niels O. Schiller will be joining us as a keynote speaker at Phonetics 2025 Hong Kong, taking place from 17th to 19th September 2025 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, West Kowloon Campus.
Professor Schiller brings with him a wealth of expertise in psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics, with a particular focus on how language is processed in the brain. His research spans speech production, reading aloud, and the cognitive mechanisms behind syntax, morphology, and phonology.
Currently serving as Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong, Professor Schiller’s contributions to the field have shaped how we understand the connection between language and the mind. His academic journey includes advanced study in phonetics, computational linguistics, and language psychology, and he has held various prestigious research positions across Europe and the US.
We look forward to welcoming Professor Schiller to the stage in September and can’t wait to hear his insights on the cutting edge of phonetic research. Whether you’re a seasoned researcher or just starting out in the field, this is a keynote you won’t want to miss.
