Professor Ingo Plag – Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf
We are delighted to introduce Ingo Plag as a keynote speaker for Linguistics 2026 Athens.
Professor Plag is internationally recognised for his extensive contributions to morphology, phonology, prosody, and the mental lexicon. His research brings together theoretical linguistics and experimental/empirical methods, addressing how linguistic structures are formed, processed, and represented in the mind. His work also extends to English linguistics, language variation, derivational morphology, and the interface between morphology and phonology.
With an influential body of publications, editorial leadership, and decades of contributions to linguistic scholarship, Professor Plag’s research continues to shape our understanding of linguistic structure and processing. We are pleased to welcome him to Athens as part of our 2026 keynote programme.
