We are honoured to announce that Professor Ad Neeleman of University College London will be delivering a keynote address at the 16th International Conference on Linguistic Research and Applications – Linguistics 2025 Paris.
Professor Neeleman is a leading figure in theoretical linguistics, renowned for his extensive research in syntax and its interfaces with morphology, semantics, and phonology. His work is firmly rooted in the tradition of generative grammar, offering profound insights into the structure and function of language.
Having earned his PhD from Utrecht University in 1994, Professor Neeleman has been a faculty member at UCL since 1997. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to our understanding of linguistic theory, particularly in areas such as phrase structure, information structure, and the syntax-phonology interface.
His collaborative publications, including Flexible Syntax: A Theory of Case and Arguments (1998) with Fred Weerman and Beyond Morphology (2004) with Peter Ackema, have been influential in shaping contemporary linguistic thought.
We look forward to Professor Neeleman’s keynote, which promises to provide valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of linguistic research.
