Language Disorders 2026 Online brought together researchers, clinicians, and scholars from around the world to share current research and applications across the field of language disorders. Held online on 26 August 2026, the conference provided an international platform for the exchange of research, ideas, and approaches spanning clinical linguistics, psycholinguistics, language technologies, and related disciplines.
The conference showcased research across a broad range of areas, including speech and language disorders, phonetics and phonology, morphology and vocabulary, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, language acquisition, clinical linguistics, corpus research, and the growing application of artificial intelligence and language technologies within research and clinical practice.
The programme featured keynote lectures from:
- Stefano F. Cappa – The contribution of Primary Progressive Aphasia to language neurobiology
- Bonnie Nozari – Leveraging big data and AI in studies and treatment of aphasia
Special Session: Language Disorder Corpora
Language Disorders 2026 also featured the special session Language Disorder Corpora, organised in collaboration with DELAD (Database Enterprise for Language and Speech Disorders).
The special session featured a keynote lecture from:
